How to avoid becoming a victim of fraud A buyer Ebay .

From everything you have heard about the risk of fraud on eBay, you may think that only buyers are scam – but it could not be further from the truth. Some frauds have vendors come every day.

The rubber cheque.

This is obviously not limited to eBay – it is ongoing for years in all kinds of cases. It works like this: a buyer sends you a cheque they do not have the funds to cover and you pay your bank. You can send the goods right away, only to find out a few days later that the cheque bounced.

The solution to this is simple: do not send anything to the buyer until payment has cleared, no matter how quickly they will say they need. Their advice is to pay electronically if they do not want to wait so long for their articles. Then again, if your objects are small, you could take the loss of an opportunity to bounce cheques. Think of it as a small price to pay for faster and better customer service.

‘I Never Bought Anything! ”

This is one of the riskiest scams becoming victims’. In this case, the credit card of the true owner has control over it – nobody stole their details. They understood, however, they can telephone the bank that issued the card to say that it is used fraudulently, and they never bought such a thing, and the bank will often reverse the transaction even without investigation . The only way to fight this scam is to make all your sales via eBay, as they keep a record of transactions.

The address unconfirmed.

It is relatively easy to steal PayPal accounts inexperienced users: everything you need, after all, is their e-mail address and password. PayPal tries to protect itself against stolen credit cards registered on the accounts to be used to purchase things by listing a confirmed address for each buyer – an address that corresponds to what is registered with their credit card issuer.

What many scammers will do is ask you to transfer to another address – unless you are very sure of themselves, it is a bad idea, because they might be trying to commit card fraud credit. Be especially suspicious of anyone who wants to pay a higher price and get a night sail, especially if it is not yet in the same country as the address confirmed. The fraudster is trying to make the point reached before their discovery.

It’s up to you to assume responsibility for the fraud on PayPal, eBay’s favourite means of fraudulent refund payments to its rightful owner is just the reverse! This is seen as an occupational hazard of using PayPal, and sellers who are severely burned sometimes go as far as to switch to a competitor of electronic payment service. In the next email, we will take a closer look at PayPal, and raises the question: should it be the only form of payment you accept?
